Job summary

National Security Agency (NSA) seeks skilled language analysts (MDLAs) to support SIGINT missions. Analysts engage with partners across the Intelligence Community and may enter the LADP or be hired directly into analytic roles based on skill and experience.

Ideal candidates hold ILR 2/2 in reading/listening Chinese, have a degree in any field, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication. Training, diverse tours, and collaboration are core to this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum language proficiency ILR 2/2 reading and listening in the target language.
• Degree in any field accepted; multiple pathways based on experience.
• Experience in translation, transcription, or analysis preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication and ability to work with IC partners.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, translate, transcribe foreign language materials for SIGINT purposes.
• Engage with partners across the Intelligence Community to support analytic missions.
• Participate in development programs or direct-hire paths depending on skill level.
• Provide timely, accurate language analysis to inform policymakers and customers.
