Job summary

NSA's language analysts (MDLAs) prepare for postings through the LADP or direct hires. Analysts engage with partners across the IC, translate and analyze foreign language materials, and contribute to SIGINT mission support.

Applicants must meet ILR 2/2 in reading and listening, have relevant language or analytic experience, and be prepared for training, testing, and security requirements as part of a full-time NSA role.

Qualifications

• Degree in any field required.
• ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for target language.
• 1+ year of relevant language or related work experience.
• Entry/Developmental or Full Performance pathways with clear growth.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, translate foreign language materials.
• Provide written and oral assessments for policymakers and partners.
• Mentor junior language analysts and share SME knowledge.
• Maintain high-quality language outputs and timely deliverables.
• Collaborate across NSA divisions and IC partners.
