Job summary

NSA’s Linguists, known as Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs), analyze foreign language materials within the SIGINT mission and may join the LADP or direct-hire paths. The role emphasizes language proficiency, analysis, and cross-team collaboration.

Applicants must have ILR 2/2 in the target language, with several career pathways including formal or informal leadership experience and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language.
• At least 1 year of relevant language or related analytic experience.
• For LADP and development, readiness to undergo training and tours as part of the program.
• Experience mentoring or guiding other analysts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate key information for policymakers and leaders.
• Research cultures and geopolitical contexts and synthesize data from multiple sources.
• Apply new analytic techniques to address complex SIGINT problems.
• Mentor, coach, and support other Language Analysts to ensure mission health.
