Job summary

National Security Agency (NSA) seeks linguists to join its Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs) program or direct-hire tracks. The role focuses on translating, transcribing, and analyzing foreign language materials to support SIGINT missions.

Applicants must have ILR level 2/2 in reading/listening Chinese, strong written and oral communication, and the ability to work across teams. Full-time, multiple U.S. locations, with security screening and training requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in any field; relevant experience in language work or intelligence analysis.
• ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language (Chinese).
• Experience in translation, transcription, or intelligence analysis is valued.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate key foreign language materials.
• Research cultures and geopolitical contexts to inform assessments.
• Develop creative analytic solutions from large, disparate data sources.
• Craft written and oral assessments with unique insights.
• Collaborate with NSA partners and other IC analysts on analytic outputs.
