Job summary

NSA's Linguists, known as Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs), are sought to support the SIGINT mission through translation, transcription, and analysis of foreign language materials. Candidates should meet ILR proficiency and demonstrate strong analytic capabilities.

The LADP or direct-hire path offers on-the-job training with multiple tours across offices, designed to accelerate technical skills in SIGINT. A degree and relevant experience are valued for progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language.
• Paths vary: HS diploma +4 yrs, Associate +2 yrs, Bachelor's +0 yrs, or higher with related experience.
• Experience may include professional language work or related fields in intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate foreign language materials; engage with partners and customers across the IC.
• Support LADP or direct-hire pathways through language analysis and mission-focused work.
• Draft written and oral assessments; mentor and coach other Language Analysts; maintain mission health.
