Job summary

Chinatown Community Development Center in San Francisco is seeking a Community Planner to join the Community Planning Team, elevating community voices on housing, transportation, economic development and open space. The role emphasizes participatory planning, outreach, organizing and education to support planning projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in urban planning or related field.
Experience in neighborhood planning, transportation issues, or advocacy/community work.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook.
Familiarity with Chinatown community issues and local government processes.

Responsibilities

Develop deep relationships with Chinatown community members and stakeholders.
Collaborate with Planning Team and City staff on city plans and programs.
Attend meetings with City agencies and document community input.
Assist in advocating on housing, transportation, and open space issues.
