Job summary

Chinatown Community Development Center in San Francisco is seeking a Community Organizer for Youth Programs to support and mentor local youth, helping them become leaders in their community. Under the supervision of the Youth Development Supervisor, you will organize youth leadership meetings, plan intergenerational activities, and develop curricula for youth participants.

This full-time, nonexempt role requires in-person presence at least four days a week and occasional evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience with San Francisco's Chinatown youth.
• Public speaking, strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Canva and Google Docs.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Demonstrated commitment to Chinatown neighborhood and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Staff and coordinate youth programs, activities, and events.
• Provide mentorship, enrichment, and leadership training.
• Coordinate youth service-learning programs and community projects.
• Develop partnerships with schools and community groups.
• Attend community meetings and advocate on youth issues.
• Supervise and coordinate youth interns and volunteers.
