Job summary

IREN in Childress, TX, seeks a Chiller Technician II to operate and maintain the central utility plant for dense AI compute. This onsite role requires hands-on management of chillers, cooling towers, and direct-to-chip cooling with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will work with the mechanical team on 12-hour rotating shifts, guiding junior technicians and progressing toward Chiller Technician III and Chiller Specialist as the portfolio expands.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting commercial or industrial chillers and HVAC plant

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the central utility plant on assigned shifts
• Carry out preventative maintenance per program and document
• Support direct-to-chip and immersion liquid cooling systems
• Take operational readings and respond to alarms promptly
• Document work orders and asset histories in CMMS
• Provide on-shift guidance to junior technicians and assist as needed
