Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Test Operator to support laboratory and testing activities at the Grantley Plant near York, PA. The role involves setup, data collection, and operation of facilities and data acquisition equipment for engineering research and development on various product prototypes.

You will work under engineers and technicians, participate in a two-year training program, and may handle rigging, refrigerant-related tasks, and safety procedures following established guidelines.

Qualifications

• Two-year Test Operator training program to include Forklift, Aerial lift, Crane operation, Rigging and Lifting basics, Lock-out tag-out, braze qualification.
• Completion of Company approved two-year Operator training program.
• Successful applicants will start training on dayshift but may work alternate shifts during the two-year program.

Responsibilities

• Set up, test, observe, check, record data, maintain, troubleshoot and operate facilities, data acquisition equipment, and equipment on test.
• Work under the direction of engineers or technicians on jobs assigned by shift supervision.
• Train and transfer knowledge to other employees on processes including refrigerant handling and rigging.
