Milton Keynes City Council is seeking a Business Intelligence Officer to join the Children’s Services team. You will analyse data, produce insight and high-quality reports to shape services for children and families across Milton Keynes.

The role supports service planning, statutory returns and data quality, with potential for home working following assessment. Interviews begin week of 19 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification or equivalent experience with complex datasets.
• Strong analytical skills to translate data into practical recommendations.
• Ability to collect, interpret and communicate complex information clearly.
• Experience working independently and managing priorities.
• Collaborative approach aligned with values of dedication, respect and collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Manage and provide high-quality business intelligence that supports service planning.
• Analyse complex data and identify trends, future pressures and opportunities to improve services.
• Produce accurate, accessible reports for managers and stakeholders.
• Ensure statutory returns and performance information are completed accurately, on time.
• Research and develop approaches to data collection, storage and analysis.
• Support data quality and information‑sharing through partnerships.
