Job summary

The Isle of Wight Council is seeking a Senior Database and Analytics Developer to join its Software Development team. This remote role focuses on data, analytics and reporting development using Mosaic Children's Services data models.

You will design, develop and maintain BI solutions from Mosaic and other corporate sources, extracting and transforming data for reporting, while mentoring team members and ensuring data quality and governance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in database development, BI and reporting.
• Specialist knowledge of Mosaic Children's Services data.
• Proficient in designing complex reports from multiple sources.
• Experience with data warehouses and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement and support database and data storage solutions.
• Develop complex BI reports from Mosaic and other systems.
• Work with Mosaic data models to extract, transform and analyse data.
• Design data flows between operational systems and BI platforms.
• Integrate data from SQL Server, Oracle and Microsoft Access.
• Maintain relational database solutions and data integrations.
• Analyse requirements and translate into reporting solutions.
• Troubleshoot BI issues and provide practical resolutions.
• Create technical documentation and management reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine data and reporting needs.
• Support data quality and BI process improvements.
• Mentor Database and Analytics officers within the team.
