Second Baptist Church of Amarillo is seeking a gifted and compassionate Children's Ministry and Event Director to provide leadership to a growing ministry serving children and their families.
At Second Baptist, we believe children's ministry is far more than providing activities for children while adults attend church. It is an opportunity to partner with parents in laying a biblical foundation that can shape a child for a lifetime.
Our mission is LOVE. BUILD. REACH., and we want our children to learn to love Christ, be built upon the truth of God's Word, and begin understanding their place in God's mission.
The Children's Ministry Director will provide leadership and oversight for children's ministries from birth through elementary age, including Nursery Coordination, Sunday ministries, Wednesday programming, special events, and other opportunities for children and families.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a mature Christian testimony, a love for children and families, strong organizational and relational skills, and a commitment to the authority of Scripture. Formal biblical, ministry, and/or children education is preferred.
Candidates must be able to serve in agreement with the doctrine and ministry direction of Second Baptist Church and affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
At Second Baptist Church, we seek more than an employee; we prayerfully desire someone who will become a valued part of our church family and ministry team.
We are looking for someone who does not simply want to maintain a children's program, but who desires to build a ministry that helps children know Christ, know His Word, and grow within the life of the local church.
