Job summary

Trinity Baptist Church Apopka is seeking a passionate Children’s Director to lead birth through fifth grade ministry, recruit and develop volunteers, and partner with parents.

This role includes coordinating Sunday and midweek activities, applying biblically faithful curriculum, and building safe, engaging environments while working with Trinity Christian School connections and the pastoral team.

Qualifications

• Two years of children’s ministry or comparable leadership experience preferred.
• Must support the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and be willing to become an active church member.

Responsibilities

• Lead birth through fifth grade ministries on Sundays and Wednesdays.
• Develop and supervise biblically faithful curriculum and age-appropriate teaching.
• Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers for children's ministry.
• Communicate with parents and plan events such as VBS and seasonal activities.
• Foster ministry connections with Trinity Christian School families.
• Collaborate with the pastoral team to provide safe and engaging environments.

Job description

Trinity Baptist Church is looking for someone who loves Jesus, loves working with children, and can bring leadership and organization to our children’s ministry. This role offers an emerging ministry leader the opportunity to lead our ministry from birth through fifth grade, develop volunteers, partner with parents, and serve alongside a supportive pastoral team.

Our goal is more than filling a calendar. We want to provide safe, engaging, and biblically faithful environments where children can know, love, trust, and follow Jesus, and learn to shine His light in their homes, church, school, and community.

The Children’s Director will provide leadership for:

• Sunday morning and Wednesday evening ministries
• Biblically faithful curriculum and age-appropriate teaching
• Volunteer recruitment, development, and scheduling
• Parent communication, VBS, seasonal events, and outreach
• Ministry connections with Trinity Christian School students and families

We are looking for a growing follower of Jesus who demonstrates Christlike character, communicates biblical truth clearly, builds healthy relationships, and leads with organization and dependability. At least two years of children’s ministry or comparable leadership experience is preferred.

Candidates must support the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, be willing to become an active member of Trinity Baptist Church, and complete all required safety qualifications.
