ASSOCIATE PASTOR OF WORSHIP & DISCIPLESHIP

Second Baptist Church | Amarillo, Texas | Full-Time

Second Baptist Church of Amarillo is seeking a gifted, spiritually mature Associate Pastor of Worship & Discipleship to join our pastoral team during an exciting season of ministry and growth.

We are seeking a man who shares that vision and senses God's call to help lead our congregation in two vital areas: Christ-centered worship and biblical discipleship.

The Associate Pastor will provide leadership for our congregational worship, including planning services, leading worship, selecting biblically sound music, and recruiting, shepherding, and developing musicians and vocalists.

He will also help strengthen our church-wide discipleship ministry by developing leaders, equipping teachers, strengthening Life Groups, evaluating curriculum, and helping create clear pathways for believers to grow toward spiritual maturity and active service.

This is more than a music position. We are seeking an Associate Pastor with a shepherd's heart who desires to invest in people, work collaboratively with our Senior Pastor and ministry team, and participate in the broader pastoral ministry of the church, including occasional preaching and pastoral care.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a humble, teachable, collaborative leader who desires long-term ministry.

Formal biblical, ministry, and/or musical education is preferred.
