Job summary

EMPACT-SPC, part of La Frontera Arizona in Tempe, seeks a Children’s Rapid Response Therapist to assess referred children and coordinate crisis care. You’ll conduct developmental screenings, evaluate home and school settings, and connect families with resources to stabilize the child’s situation.

The position requires a Master’s in Behavioral Health, experience with child safety or AZ behavioral health systems, strong organizational skills, and bilingual Spanish proficiency.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Behavioral Health field is required.
• Experience with children in Department of Child Safety care or AZ Children's Behavioral Health System preferred.
• Knowledge of the Children’s RBHA system preferred.
• Must be detail oriented and have good time management and customer service skills.
• Must have Fingerprint clearance card or be eligible to obtain one.
• Must have a valid AZ driver's license with no major infractions in the past three years.
• Must have regular access to reliable transportation.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish).
• Must be 21 years of age or older at time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a one-time thorough clinical assessment of a child referred by Department of Child Safety and/or Juvenile courts.
• Include developmental screening for 0-5 age children; review environment to assess needs and provide resources.
• Complete risk assessments and therapeutic interventions including de-escalation and crisis support.
• Coordinate with Department of Child Safety and Juvenile courts and community partners for long-term supports.
• Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
