Job summary

Little Guppy’s is a licensed childcare center seeking full-time Assistant Teachers to support our Toddler and Two-Year-Old classrooms. We offer a family-oriented environment with competitive pay and a supportive team.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or GED and can pass background checks; prior childcare experience is a plus. Shifts: Mon–Fri 8am–5pm full-time or 2–6pm part-time. Compensation: $15–$17/hour, based on education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher in all aspects of the classroom.
• Establish a professional rapport with each family to provide quality care.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each child and maintain a clean, safe classroom.
• Demonstrate physical ability to work around small children (sitting, standing, walking, running, stairs).
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out daily responsibilities of the classroom related to child care.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, Full Time, 8am-5pm or Part Time, 2-6pm

Compensation: $15-$17/hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teacher in all aspects of the classroom.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
