Job summary

Little Guppy’s is a licensed childcare center seeking a Full-time Assistant Teacher to support our Two-Year-Old and PreK classrooms. A high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass background checks are required. Previous childcare experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher in all aspects of the classroom.
• Establish a professional rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each child and maintain an organized, clean classroom.
• Maintain physical ability to work around small children (sitting, standing, walking, running, stairs).
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs and meet all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out daily classroom responsibilities relating to child care.

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teacher in all aspects of the classroom.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
