Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in food service within a classroom or youth program is preferred.
• Ability to follow established sanitation procedures and safety standards.
• Good collaboration with kitchen and classroom staff to support meal service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, washing, and assembling ingredients.
• Stock carts with utensils, plates, and beverages for dining.
• Wrap and portion items for serving to children and youth.
• Transport food from kitchen to classrooms or activity areas.
• Return carts and dispose of waste following sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain clean work areas and equipment per NAVMED P5010 and local policies.
• Label and date stored items; unload deliveries and manage storage.
