Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Food Specialist to oversee kitchen operations at our childcare center. You will create home-style, nutritious meals within menu limits and budgets while distributing meals to classrooms and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include following the Director's daily menu, complying with USDA/licensing rules, managing inventory, and assisting in classrooms as needed. This full-time role offers benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility, preferred.
• A willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations.
• Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work.

Responsibilities

• At home in the kitchen! Create home-style, nutritious meal plans within the school's menu and budget; prepare meals and distribute food to classrooms.
• Focused on health and safety! Follow the daily menu that complies with USDA/licensing/health dept. regs.
• Organized! Maintain inventory of food and supplies and reorder as needed.
• Helpful! Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
