Job summary

The Growing Years of Clayton is a licensed childcare center actively seeking Floaters/Teacher Aides to work with all age groups. A high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass all background checks are required. Previous childcare experience is a plus.

Shifts are Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm or 9:00am–6:00pm, with compensation of $15–$18/hr based on education and experience. We offer competitive pay, paid trainings, a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, and vision), a 401k

Responsibilities

• Willing to substitute for any position, covering breaks and absences.

• Operate as a team player under the lead teacher.
• Physically able to work around young children (sitting, standing, walking, running, stairs).
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs and meet all physical requirements.

Main Job Responsibilities

• Willingness to effectively substitute for any position as needed. This includes covering staff members’ breaks, filling in for staff members in their absences, and assuming the classroom duties of staff members before or after their scheduled shifts.
• Demonstrate patience, kindness and positive interactions with all children, parents, and staff.
• Operate as a team player and willingness to help where needed under the director of the lead teacher.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
