Job summary

Navy Region Southwest Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a Child and Youth Program Food Service Worker to perform a variety of food preparation and service tasks in a Development Center, with possible assistance for School Age Care programs.

The role requires adherence to nutrition and sanitation standards, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and successful completion of background checks and security requirements for DoD programs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food handling techniques and personal hygiene standards.
• Ability to measure ingredients and understand basic recipe construction.
• Familiarity with arithmetic for serving quantities and portions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, including peeling potatoes, washing vegetables, assembling sandwiches, and weighing ingredients.
• Stock carts with utensils, food and beverages for family-style dining in classrooms.
• Wrap, arrange, and package items for serving to children and youth; transport food to classrooms.
