Job summary

Navy Region Southwest Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a CY Program Assistant to support activities for children and youth in the DoD program. You will help develop schedules, lead activities, and ensure safety and compliance across indoor and outdoor environments.

The role requires communication with parents, staff, and installation personnel, with attention to developmental needs and DoD accreditation standards. Training and background checks are part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to promote and foster effective working relationships with children, youth, and coworkers.
• Six months of experience working with children or youth in a child and youth setting.
• Completion of Navy Entry Level training or DoD training courses is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops schedules and activity plans for CYP.
• Implements activities meeting physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs.
• Maintains safe indoor/outdoor environments and equipment.
• Communicates with parents and staff regarding progress.
• Assists in DoD certification and national accreditation efforts.
