Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a County Caseworker 2 in Delaware County to support families dealing with abuse or neglect, conducting home visits and community outreach to safeguard children.

You will perform assessments, manage cases, arrange placements, and advocate for services, with telework opportunities after six months. A background in social services and a PA driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1, or successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program, or a qualifying degree.
• A bachelor's degree with a social welfare major or related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology or related social sciences.

Responsabilités

• Conduct safety and needs assessments during investigations of abuse or neglect.
• Coordinate services and monitor progress for assigned cases.
• Offer guidance in daily living, child care, employment, and household stability.
• Place children in foster homes and maintain ongoing communication.
• Make referrals and work with community partners to improve service outcomes.
• Attend county programs and formal instruction leading to caseworker certification.
