Delco Pa seeks a County Caseworker 2 to provide direct services to children and families who have experienced abuse or neglect. You will work in homes and community settings to support safety and well‑being, conducting assessments, coordinating services, and arranging foster placements as needed.

The role emphasizes collaborative work with partners, ongoing trainings, and career advancement opportunities within a supportive environment.

Formación

• Six months of experience as County Caseworker 1 or
• Successful completion of County Social Casework Intern program or
• A bachelor's degree with a social welfare major or
• A bachelor's degree with 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social service agency or
• Any equivalent combination including 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience

Responsabilidades

• Conduct Assessments: Complete investigations and evaluate safety concerns for children and families.
• Provide Case Management: Coordinate services and track progress for each assigned case.
• Support Families: Offer guidance in areas such as parenting, budgeting, employment, and daily living skills.
• Arrange Placements: Place children in foster homes when necessary to maintain their safety.
• Coordinate Services: Work with community partners and make referrals to strengthen support systems.
• Participate Training: Engage in required training programs leading to caseworker certification.

Educación

Bachelor's degree in social welfare

Bachelor's degree with 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice or related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience

Equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice or related social sciences

Within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits

Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1

Successful completion of County Social Casework Intern program
