The position offers a full-time schedule (8:00 AM–4:30 PM, M-F) with no telework option. Minimum education includes related social sciences coursework or a bachelor’s degree with 12 credits in

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college coursework including 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences; or
• Bachelor's degree with 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences; or
• Equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 credits in the social sciences and one year of paraprofessional case management experience; or
• Within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits

Responsibilities

• Case management: Work with families and children experiencing abuse or neglect and guide them to appropriate services
• Child safety checks: Investigate reports of child abuse and gather information to support regulatory compliance
• Community collaboration: Coordinate with local organizations to link families to helpful resources
• Family support: Interact with clients in challenging situations and provide direction that promotes child well being
• On call duties: Participate in scheduled on call rotation and handle tasks during non traditional hours
