Qualifications

• Two years of experience as County Social Services Aide 3 with related coursework.
• Bachelor's degree with 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or criminal justice.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 college credits and one year of paraprofessional case management experience.
• Applicants may qualify if within two months of graduating.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management services to an assigned caseload of children, youth and families.
• Investigate reports of child abuse and neglect in line with guidelines.
• Conduct home studies to assess safety of living environments.
• Prepare records and reports to support case decisions.
• Ensure documentation complies with agency policies and regulations.

Education

Bachelor's degree with 12 credits in sociology/social sciences

12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences

Equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 credits and one year of paraprofessional case management experience
