Job summary

Lutheran Services Florida is seeking a Child Welfare Case Manager to provide wraparound case management for children and families in Florida. You will partner with parents, guardians, foster families, and staff to develop and implement case plans focused on safety, permanency, and family strengths.

The role requires meeting deadlines, documenting in FSFN, coordinating services, and attending court activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience with children.
• Must obtain child welfare certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Accept cases and meet with children in their primary residence within 2 working days.
• Develop case plans with families aimed at reunification or permanency.
• Visit children at least quarterly, with at least one unannounced visit per quarter.
• Document all case activities in FSFN within 48 hours.
• Submit referrals and maintain knowledge of community resources.
• Attend and participate in court activities as necessary.
• Arrange staffing and complete required packets.
• Conduct safety and family functioning assessments and plan accordingly.
• Arrange for emergency placement or services as needed.
• Transport children as required.
