Job summary

Lutheran Services Florida is seeking a Child Welfare Case Manager in Florida to oversee and coordinate services for children and families in the child welfare system. You will manage case plans, coordinate with therapy, health, education, and permanency teams, and ensure safety and well-being of the children served.

Training locations include Tampa, Pinellas, or Fort Myers with paid mileage; candidates residing in Florida are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field; Social Work degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience; certification within one year.
• Residency in Florida preferred to align with training locations and caseload.

Responsibilities

• Accept all cases assigned by unit supervisor and meet with children in their primary residence within 2 working days of staffing.
• Develop a case plan with family members and relevant parties to support reunification or permanency goals.
• Visit children in their homes at required frequency, with at least one unannounced visit each quarter.
• Document all case activities in FSFN within 48 hours and maintain orderly case files.
