Job summary

The Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Family & Children Services, seeks a Child Welfare Services Case Manager 1 in Dalton to assess maltreatment reports, develop safety plans, and pursue timely permanency for children.

You will work with families, document activities, coordinate with community supports, and participate in after-hours on-call duties; telework may be available depending on the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of case management experience; or one (1) year at the lower level (SSP070) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Initiates timely, face-to-face responses to screened-in reports of alleged child maltreatment.
• Develops and implements safety plans addressing identified safety concerns.
• Conducts diligent search efforts to locate the child/family when contact is not made.
• Collaborates with community partners to create systems of support for children and families.
• Ensures frequency and quality of visits to ensure safety, permanency and well-being.
• Maintains case activity documentation within policy timeframes; serves on after-hours on-call duty.
