Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Family & Children Services, seeks a Child Welfare Services Case Manager I in Dalton, GA to respond to reports of maltreatment, assess safety, and develop permanency plans with families. You will implement SBC, coordinate with partners, and support foster care transitions.

The role emphasizes timely visits, safety monitoring, and collaboration with biological families to promote well-being and permanency for children.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required and two years of case management experience; or one year at the lower level.

Responsabilidades

• Initiates timely, face-to-face responses to screened-in reports of alleged child maltreatment and conducts assessments that identify safety concerns.
• Develops and implements safety plans to address identified safety concerns.
• Performs diligent search efforts to locate the child/family when contact is not possible.
• Implements Solution Based Casework (SBC).
• Collaborates with children and parents to develop Family Functioning Agreement, Action Plan, and Family Plan to achieve outcomes.
• Maintains genograms to identify supportive networks.
• Works with community partners to create systems of support for children and families.
• Ensures visits with children and families occur with appropriate frequency and quality to ensure safety and permanency.
• Identifies needs in health, education, and mental/behavioral health and ensures they are addressed.
• Establishes permanency goals and ensures stable foster care placements.
