Job summary

Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) - Division of Family & Children Services in Covington, GA is seeking a Child Welfare Services Case Manager 1. You will initiate timely responses to reports of maltreatment, assess safety, and collaborate with families to build plans for permanency and well-being.

Responsibilities include safety planning, diligent search for families, and after-hours on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in child welfare or family services is preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Initiate timely face-to-face responses to screened-in reports of alleged child maltreatment.
• Develop and implement safety plans to address identified safety concerns.
• Collaborate with community partners to create systems of support for children and families.
• Ensure visits with children and families occur with adequate frequency and quality.
• Routinely serve on after-hours on-call duty.
• Utilize SBC (Solution Based Casework) in case planning.
