Job summary

YMCA is seeking staff to assist in Child Watch programs in Ohio. The role involves supervising children, leading activities, and modeling caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and faith.

You will greet families, ensure sign-in/sign-out, and maintain safety and attendance records while upholding YMCA standards. Candidates should be at least 15 years old, complete abuse prevention training within 90 days, and demonstrate reliability, communication, and organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 15.
• Child abuse prevention training within 90 days of hire date.
• Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Must maintain professional appearance, strong communication, organization and administrative skills.
• Must believe in YMCA’s philosophy and mission and willing to teach, model and implement character development values.
• Must be flexible and maintain positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Sign in/out of children with parents and ensure safe release.
• Interact with children, plan activities, follow procedures and guidelines.
• Greet children and parents; inform them of procedures and rules.
• Complete incident reports and maintain attendance records.
• Model YMCA values in daily interactions and activities.
• Help keep facilities clean and engage members.
• Support the Member Service Promise.
• Contribute to Annual Partners with Youth Campaign.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Business Manager.
