Job summary

State of Georgia seeks a Child Support Services Agent 1 in Decatur, GA, under DHS. The role supports establishing and enforcing child support orders, locating non-custodial parents, and coordinating with legal and public agencies.

Under supervision, you will manage a caseload, communicate with families, and help ensure timely support payments. Telework may be available depending on position and duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma/GED and one year of direct job-related experience.
• Alternatively, Associate's degree from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Registers child support applications, validates locations and establishes paternity.
• Coordinates child support activities with legal, judicial and public organizations.
• Establishes child support obligations and ensures obligation fulfillment.
• Communicates with clients via telephone, email, and in person to ensure obligations are met.
• Manages a caseload to meet the Same Day Service Standard of Operating Procedure.
• Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned.
