Job summary

The State of Georgia, Department of Human Services, Division of Child Support Services, seeks a Manager to oversee child support operations in Atlanta, GA. This leadership role coordinates with partners in legal and public organizations to enforce and modify support obligations and ensure program accountability.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and drive program improvements while leveraging telework opportunities depending on position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of subordinate supervisory experience in a human service delivery program or related program.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and assesses the effectiveness of existing programs to ensure the identified outcome measures are achieved.
• Assures agency compliance with policies, documentation, and reporting requirements.
• Builds and encourages a cooperative team-oriented environment within unit(s) and with other agencies and providers.
• Creates and maintains positive working relationships within the community and on the county DFCS Board.
• Develops and administers budgets.
• Facilitates communication within the unit(s)/agency on a case level as well as policy level.
• Interviews, hires, directs, trains, evaluates performance of, and when necessary, disciplines staff.
• Leads and administers a comprehensive system of public assistance and social services.
• Manages human resources and directs administrative activities for groups of social services employees.
• Plans, administers, and maintains operation of social service programs.
• Reviews programs for efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with regulations.

Education
