Qualifications

• Three years of experience in social services, or six years in any field.
• A bachelor's degree qualifies for consideration.
• Experience substitution: 30 sem hours equals one year, up to 120 sem hours.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and executes legal processes by interviewing clients and others to locate absent parents.
• Research files and records to find leads on whereabouts of parents.
• Explain legal requirements, calculate support, determine actions, and meet with parents to obtain paternity and support.
• Prepare affidavits and financial audits; initiate subpoenas, petitions and orders.
• Attend court in one or more districts.
• Handle a high volume of case work for the public in need of services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
