Job summary

Wake County Department of Social Services in Raleigh, NC is seeking a diligent Child Support Services Agent to provide comprehensive case management, work with parents, agencies, and courts, and enforce and modify orders as needed.

The role requires strong analytical and negotiation skills, a minimum of a bachelor's degree and two years of related experience, a hybrid work schedule after training, and a one-year probation. Pre-employment checks and background reviews are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Child Support Program and related legal procedures.

• Proficiency with ACTS and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 500+ cases.
• Conduct investigative work for sensitive cases.
• Interview and negotiate with program participants.
• Verify income, assets, and expenses.
• Present cases in court and testify when required.
• Process cases to establish, modify, or enforce orders.
• Maintain knowledge of program policies and regulations.
• Handle related duties as assigned.
