Job summary

The Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) seeks a Case Manager/Child Safety Specialist-Statewide Placement Coordinator in Phoenix to support placement coordination and child safety across the state. You will evaluate referrals, coordinate medical records, arrange exams, and collaborate with guardians, Phoenix Children's Hospital, and community providers.

This on-site role requires compassion, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree or 4 years as DCS Case Aide.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory 39 month driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Work history, Central Registry and Public Record will be considered.
• Successfully complete the 22 weeks of in person classroom and field training program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate referrals and place according to policies.
• Schedule medical appointments and coordinate with hospital and providers.
• Document medical information in Guardian and coordinate staff trainings.
• Review work products and provide input on cases.
• Ensure safety and compliance with policy, procedures and statutes.
• Respond to questions about policy and case-related issues.
