Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a Child Development Support Assistant to support pupils in primary schools across Washington, starting in September. The role suits qualified Teaching Assistants with a passion for child development and wellbeing.

You will work closely with teachers, SENDCOs and pastoral teams to support learning, behaviour and inclusion, with DBS via Update Service preferred.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above (essential).
  • Experience working within a Primary School setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting child development and wellbeing.
  • Understanding of SEND, Autism, ADHD, SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Additional qualifications in Education, Childcare or Child Development are advantageous.

We’re currently recruiting for a Child Development Support Assistant to work within welcoming and supportive Primary Schools across Washington, starting in September.

This rewarding role is perfect for qualified Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting children with their academic, social and emotional development. You will play a key role in helping pupils thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Your Main Responsibilities
  • Support children with a range of learning, communication and developmental needs.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
