We are currently recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Denton on a long-term basis. This role is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity starting as soon as possible.
You will be joining a warm, inclusive primary school in Denton, focused on emotional wellbeing, pupil progress, and positive relationships. This is a brilliant chance for an experienced or passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to become a familiar, trusted face in a Denton classroom where tailored support and child-centred learning go hand in hand.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Providing one-to-one and small group support as an SEN Teaching Assistant to pupils with additional needs, including Autism and ADHD
Adapting classroom activities and learning resources to ensure full accessibility for pupils in Denton
Assisting the class teacher with classroom management, visual schedules, and sensory regulation strategies
Implementing individual education plans (EHCPs) and tracking daily progress in a supportive Denton school environment
Recent experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, support worker, or in a similar educational role
Strong understanding of special educational needs, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and speech and language difficulties
A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, or equivalent practical experience
Strong communication skills and a patient, adaptable approach to learning support in Denton
Daily Rate: £107.71 - £115 per day (paid within the advertised scale based on experience and qualifications)

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
