Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Erie is hiring a Full-time Site Director - Child Care at our McKean location. This leadership role oversees day care and school-age programs, ensures quality and safety, recruits staff, manages budgets, and partners with families and community partners to expand services.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, supervise staff and volunteers, execute monthly reporting, and support fundraising and program marketing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent.
• Three or more years related experience preferred, as a coordinator or supervisor of childcare programs.
• Minimum age requirements may apply; for example, minimum age of 21.
• Completion of YMCA program certifications and required trainings (e.g., CPR/First Aid/AED; Mandated Reporter; etc.).

Responsibilities

• Directs day care and school-age childcare programs for assigned location; ensures high-quality programs and expands services.
• Implements supervision and ratio compliance to ensure children's safety.
• Recruits, trains, and supervises staff and volunteers; reviews performance and motivates team.
• Enrols new children and onboarding families into the YMCA program.
• Manages program budgets and ensures fees are collected; supports healthy eating initiatives.
