Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Food Specialist to manage overall food preparation for enrolled children and support staff with meals and snacks in a friendly childcare environment.

You will follow USDA and licensing regulations, create nutritious menus, and maintain inventory while assisting in classrooms as needed. This role offers a weekday schedule in a daycare setting with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to all state and local regulations.
• Flexibility regarding hours and schedule of work.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritional meal plans within the school's menu and budget and prepare meals/snacks for children and staff.
• Follow the daily menu in line with USDA licensing and health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and reorder as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
