Job summary

Learning Care Group, Inc. is seeking a Child Care Cook, Food Specialist to lead overall food preparation for the school’s enrolled children. This role adapts to menu changes while meeting meal and snack schedules and budget boundaries.

You will create home-style, nutritious meals, follow the Director's daily menu with USDA/licensing compliance, and manage inventory. Occasional classroom assistance as an Assistant Teacher/Floater is included.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for multiple individuals in childcare is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to state/local regulations.
• Flexibility as to hours and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritional meal plans within school menus and budgets; prepare meals and snacks for children and staff, distribute to classrooms.
• Follow the daily menu provided by the Director, ensuring compliance with USDA/licensing/health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and place orders as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
