Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a dedicated Food Specialist to provide nutritious meals for students and staff in our childcare classrooms. This role emphasizes preparing home-style meals while adhering to the school's menu, budget, and state/federal requirements.

You will be responsible for food preparation, safety, and assisting in classrooms as needed, contributing to a positive, caring environment for children and their families.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking and preparing food for multiple individuals in a childcare facility preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to current state and local regulations.
• Flexibility in hours and schedule of work.

Responsibilities

• At home in the kitchen! Create home-style, nutritious meal plans within the school menu and budget, and prepare meals/snacks for children and staff.
• Follow the daily menu provided by the Director and ensure compliance with USDA, licensing, and health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and reorder as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
