Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Food Specialist at one of our childcare schools to prepare home-style, nutritious meals and snacks for children and staff, aligned with the school menu and budget.

Responsibilities include following USDA and health regulations, managing food inventory, and assisting in classrooms as needed. Benefits include health insurance, tuition assistance, and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations.
• Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritious meals and snacks within menu and budget.
• Follow the daily menu incorporating USDA/licensing/health dept regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
