Child Care Assistant Cook

Bring your cooking talents and kitchen skills as an Assistant Cook at Bright Horizons. You'll help plan menus, prepare meals, and help order inventory as you make a real difference in the lives of children, families, and staff.

This position offers ideal hours working 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday at our University Village Bright Horizons. This position is 20 hours assisting in the kitchen and then 20 hours a week teaching in classrooms.

Responsibilities:

• Help plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff.
• Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed.
• Help manage all aspects of meal prep, cooking, cleaning, and sanitation compliance.

Qualifications:

Candidates must pass required background checks and meet minimum education and experience requirements:

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Relevant experience in a licensed child care center, school, or commercial kitchen preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires compliance with all relevant health and safety requirements, including immunizations and physical screenings. You will work in person in an early education setting, ensuring children's safety and well-being.

Compensation:

The hourly rate is between $21.00 - $25.00. Actual offers depend on experience, education, certifications, location, and other factors.
