Job description

Bring your cooking talents and kitchen skills as an Assistant Cook at Bright Horizons. You'll help plan menus, prepare meals, and manage inventory, making a positive impact on children, families, and staff.

This position offers hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at our University Village location. The role involves 20 hours in the kitchen and 20 hours in classrooms weekly.

Responsibilities

1. Help plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff.
2. Maintain accurate inventory and place supply orders as needed.
3. Assist in meal prep, cleaning, and sanitation to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Relevant experience in a licensed childcare center, school, or commercial kitchen preferred.
• Pass required background checks.

Physical Requirements

Compensation

The hourly rate ranges from $21.00 to $25.00, depending on experience, education, certifications, location, and other factors.
