Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for a part-time outpatient position at Aurora Psychiatric Hospital in Milwaukee. The role involves therapeutic groups for children, adolescents, and adults, with an 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule Monday–Thursday and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Requires Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and state licensure; 24 hours/week with benefits eligibility. BLS certification is expected and dedication to patient-centered care is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program and state licensure eligibility.
• Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the practicing state; BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to complete required competency assessments and maintain professional development.

Responsibilities

• Interprets physician referrals and evaluates the patient’s abilities and daily living impact.
• Establishes and implements plans of care with functional goals; fabricates assistive devices as needed.
• Monitors outcomes, adjusts treatment plans, and communicates with physicians and team members.
• Completes documentation including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries per policy.
• Maintains safety, infection control, and site productivity standards.
