Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support outpatient behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and adults. The role is 0.6 FTE (approx. 24 hours/week), part-time, with daily Monday-Thursday scheduling.

The incumbent assists therapists, supports patient mobility, and contributes to therapy plans in a busy behavioral health setting. Responsibilities include implementing therapy activities, documenting progress, and coordinating discharge home programs.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assist. is required.
• Wisconsin OT Assistant license required.
• BLS certification within 6 months.
• Proven ability to work in a clinical rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in evaluating patient abilities and daily living activities.
• Implement individual therapy plans and train compensatory techniques.
• Plan discharge with home programs and patient/family education.
• Complete documentation including progress notes, discharge summaries, and scheduling data.
• Maintain clean and safe treatment areas and assist with equipment as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of modalities and exercise precautions and supports quality of care.
