Job summary

Advocate Health in Milwaukee is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the 36604 Aurora Psychiatric Hospital Behavioral Health O/P: Child and Adolescent program. This part-time, 0.6 FTE role offers 24 hours weekly, Monday through Thursday, 08:00–14:30, and involves facilitating activity-based therapeutic groups for children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient settings.

You will assist the OT with evaluations, implement treatment plans, document progress, and help plan discharges.

Qualifications

• Intermediate computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organization, decision-making, and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Occupational Therapist in evaluation of the patient’s abilities and needs.
• Implements individual treatment and teaches compensatory techniques.
• Plans for patient discharge including home programs and teaching.
• Completes all required documentation with co-signatures and billing/ scheduling records.
• Maintains patient care area and equipment, applying proper safety and technique.
