Job summary

Rolling Hills Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our behavioral health team. The RN provides direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team, while ensuring safety, crisis management, and accurate documentation in the treatment plan.

The role includes training staff, collaborating with the treatment team, and supporting a therapeutic milieu across patient care. TN RN license and behavioral health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Associates degree in nursing required, Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Tennessee required.
• Nursing experience in the behavioral health field preferred.
• One year inpatient psychiatric experience with adults and adolescents preferred.
• CPR certification (training provided).
• Handle with Care (HWC) certification (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team.
• Provides medical management and assessment of patients; ensures environmental safety and crisis management for the patient population.
• Directs the implementation of behavior management programs and ensures consistent carry-through.
• Makes patient and task assignments to subordinates and monitors their duties.
• Provides training and education to staff, patients, families; documents patient care and ensures data is accurate and included in the master treatment plan via timely nursing care plan updates.
• Works with the treatment team to provide consistently therapeutic milieu.
